GrasscyclingGrasscycling is simply leaving the grass clippings on the lawn after mowing. This can save time, money and other resources like landfill space. The clippings quickly decompose, returning nutrients to the soil. It is estimated that grass clippings make up about half of all yard trimmings. In the grasscycling process, the nitrogen contained in these clippings gets returned to the soil, reducing the amount of fertilizers you need to use. The grass clippings also act as a mulch, saving water by reducing the amount of watering your lawn requires. Mowing time can also be reduced by as much as half, since you don’t have to bag and then dispose of the clippings.
